Highlights

This Tour combines both cultural and food by visiting the stunning Golden Mount Temple (Wat Saket) and a Street Food Tour where we get to meet the Thai cooks and get to taste their local Thai food which is basically made for local workers around that neighbourhood so you really get to try the authentic food
The guide, a local English speaking guide, will walk you through Chinatown and will offer you many Thai dishes to taste while full explanations come with it about each dish or piece of food you would like to try.

Itinerary

  • The Golden Mount (Wat Saket)

    One of Bangkok’s oldest temples from Ayutthaya era, which lasted until 1767. Mostly known for its 80 meter hill called the Golden Mount and the golden stupa on top of it used to be the highest point in Bangkok for long time. Reaching up to the stupa on top of the Mountain, requires a 318 step climbing the hill. To make sure you happily get there, funny statues along the path making the climb cheerful while huge prayer bells that Buddhist people strike producing a very deep tone for good luck. From the top, you have a fabulous view of Bangkok in all directions.

    The old quarter of Bangkok includes Chinatown. It is very colorful with a vast variety of restaurants and street vendors. Our local guide will walk you through explaining and showing you all different types of places and offering many types of local street food and drinks along the route. Such as; Grilled sticky rice in banana leaf Charcoal Toast with butter curry puff Local iced coffee (hot coffee is also available) Bitter melon herbal local drink Durian moon cake Hot ginger tea with bean curd And Much More.. Once we’re done tasting, eating, drinking and so.. We walk out of the street food section continue to the junk shop (Sieng Kong) a stunning area where huge stacks of used automotive and engine parts line the street shops.We only walk through that one and continue then up to the Hidden Café with a stunning view over the Chao Phraya river, enjoying extensive mocktail (menu-includes one mocktail drink per person).
  • Kuan Yim Shrine (Thian Fa Foundation)(途经)

    We visit Thian Fah Charity Foundation Hospital, which was established during the reign of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) in 1903 and completed in 1905.
  • Odeon Roundabout(途经)

    The large Chinatown gate sits in the middle of the Odeon roundabout therefore, it is very much a photographer’s location.. The gate was built by Chinese Thai citizens in 1999 above all to show their loyalty to King Bhumibol and was unveiled on his 72nd birthday.
