You can see Flores Island, Lake Peten Itza, and even the Mundo Maya International Airport from it. Something that not many people know, is that the viewpoint is actually the top of a pyramid built by the ancient Mayan King called Canek. It is now covered in vegetation and used as a viewpoint. During your visit, we will also tell you about the kingdom of El Rey Canek and the stelae that have been found there recently. Viewing the landscapes from the highest point is breathtaking. The beach of El Chechenal is popular for its turquoise waters and white sand. It is an ecological place too, with different spots for great pictures. If you like swimming, this is the perfect time to refresh a bit under the beautiful sunlight. Much little fish live here, so don´t ger surprise if you see them swimming next to you. Because the beach is surrounded by a lot of nature, you may hear the sound of some howler monkeys, it is a show!
