Admission Ticket FreeThe Hoornsedijk is a monumental route thanks to the presence of three national monuments: The bridge and the lock from the Hoornsediep to the Paterswoldsemeer. The lock is the only entrance to the lake for ships. The bridge and lock keepers are hired on a temporary basis from Elkez of the municipality of Groningen. The mill "De Helper": This mill was recently restored and still runs regularly under the supervision of voluntary miller Rolf Glazenburg. Hoornsedijk 13: A well-preserved example of a peat farm from the second half of the 19th century.
