If you prefer discovering those villages by yourself you can chose the transfer only option that includes only the transportation (not train and boat tickets) from Florence and you can enjoy and move along the villages as you prefer.

Visited 4 out of the 5 villages. Knowledgeable and patient guide. Gave precise instructions and ample time to visit. Did not go on boat ride due to strong water current.
Experience would have been better if the ferry ride was not cancelled due to the choppy sea. You cannot really have see Cinque Terre awesome views when you are on the island itself. But overall it a sneak preview of Cinque Terre. I have selected the street food option - which I was disappointed as I expected the guide to have taken us around for taste. Instead, we are given 2 coupons (one ice cream, and one bakery store) and we are to look for it on our own. This is so pointless as we are only limited to these 2 shops and the queue was so long for the bakery and we have wasted 20mins just to get our free food. Bare in mind we had only one hour on the island. So if I had knew that, I rather skip the food and just buy from random shop which is less crowded.
Condensed tour of 4 islands. 2h bus ride to Levanto station and train ride between islands. About 1h spent at each island and 2h at the largest (Monterosso). No boat trip in winter. Lots of stairs and walking. Stunning scenery. Overall good introduction to Cinque Terra but limited time to do any activity. Felt like a “hit and run.” But can’t be helped as 4 islands were covered. 7am-7pm by Sightseeing company. Well organised. Meet up location at sightseeing visitor centre inside the train station, Salon Bigletti.
