Highlights
Relax on a full-day excursion from Rome to Ponza Island with ample time to swim and explore. Learn about the history of the island and its connection to the Greek poet Homer.
The ferry to Ponza, costing 60 euros (not included, payable at check-in), departs from Anzio, offering a 1.5-hour ride. Upon arrival in Ponza, take a brief break for breakfast and board an excursion boat for an exhilirating 5-hour circumnavigation of Ponza. Discover hidden coves, gravity-defying rock formations, and blue grottoes while your expert tour leader translates the Italian commentary. Make 4-5 stops for swimming and snorkeling, and enjoy a pasta lunch freshly prepared by the captain and served on board, picnic style.
Tour ends at 4 PM, giving you time to enjoy Ponza's lively port. We will reach central Rome just before 9:00 PM
