The park is the third most visited national park in Sri Lanka and offers visitors a blend of flora and fauna, grasslands and forests. The Udawalawe Park has a rich diversity, 12 species of amphibians, 33 species of reptiles, 43 species of mammals, 21 species of fish and 184 species of birds.
