Highlights

Join a two-part Alcatraz tour offering unique adventures. Start your expedition with a ferry ride to Alcatraz Island, operated by Alcatraz Cruises. Depart from Pier 33 on a boat that also serves as a scenic bay cruise. Once on the island, you'll receive an audio headset for a self-guided tour.


Enjoy the 2.5-hour cell house audio tour, which tells the stories of famous inmates like "Scarface" Al Capone and "Birdman" Robert Stroud. The package includes a roundtrip boat tour from San Francisco Bay to Alcatraz Island and back.


Explore the Alcatraz Prison, watch an orientation video, and follow the audio tour available in multiple languages, including Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, and more. After learning about the island's history, enjoy a self-guided e-bike rental tour. Head over to Bay City Bike at either 501 Bay or 2661 Taylor and start your self-guided electric bike tour.

E-bikes are allowed for ages 10 and up, but those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult
It is recommended to wear closed-toed shoes and a light jacket

The law in California requires anyone under 18 to wear a helmet
The booking date is the Alcatraz tour date. The day after will be applied as the bike tour date
Usage
Bike Rental Meeting Point: 2661 Taylor Street
For Alcatraz:
Show your smartphone voucher and a government-issued photo ID and pick up your paper tickets at the group window at Pier 33. Then, proceed to the boarding line
Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your departure time
The date you book is for Alcatraz and can't be amended. Your bike tour will be booked automatically the day after (unless you reschedule it)
Post Purchase
The tour operator will get in touch with you about the exact departure time for Alcatraz approximetly 4 days before your selected date, Alcatraz departure times can be anywhere from 9:00AM – 5:00PM
Each booking party must bring one credit card and ID
