    Bongpyeong Buckwheat Flower Festival(Hyoseok Cultural Festival) is held in Bongpyeong in Pyeongchang county of Gangwon-do where the background of one of the materpieces of Korean modern short story, 'WHEN BUCKWHEAT FLOWERS BLOOM' wirtten by Hyeseok Lee. The festival is coexisting nature and literature so various programs of buckwheat and the content of the story. The beautiful broad landscape of the buckwheat flowers will make tourists stop and they cannot help taking pictures. In addition, visitors can look around traditional Korean old house where the writer was born and can have chances to participate lots of Korean traditional game.
