Highlights
This full-day tour takes you to iconic sites in Kyoto, including World Heritage sites. Begin with Nijo Castle, constructed for the Tokugawa Shogun. Continue to Kinkakuji Temple, once the villa of General Ashikaga Yoshimitsu and now renowned for its gold-foil exterior. Visit the Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine, a Shinto shrine dating back to 711 AD, famous for its iconic path lined with traditional gates. Conclude the tour with visits to the Sanjusangen-do and Kiyomizu-dera Temples.

Make your own way to the meeting point at Avanti's Sunrise Tours Desk, across Kyoto Station Hachijo Exit. Start of tour. Visit Nijo Castle. Admire the carvings in Ninomaru Palace. Visit Kinkakuji Temple. Explore Kyoto Imperial Palace. Enjoy lunch. Stroll around the Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine. Visit the Sanjusangen-do Temple. Explore the Kiyomizu-dera Temple.5:30 PM
End of tour with arrival back to Kyoto Station.Note: The itinerary is subject to change due to weather, events, or traffic conditions.
Nijo Castle is closed on Tuesdays in January, July, August, and December. If closed, Ryoan-Ji Temple will be visited instead. The Kyoto Imperial Palace is closed every public holiday, Mondays, the following day if Monday is a national holiday, and during Imperial Household events. If closed, the Kitano Tenmangu Shrine will be visited instead.
