Highlights

Do you have an extra day before or after a safari in Tanzania? Or do you simply have a day in Morogoro to fill while waiting for a transfer in or out of town? A hike in the Uluguru Mountains to Choma Waterfall or all the way to Bondwa peak or Lupanga Peak is a great way to spend the day!,


This is more of a walk through villages on a steep dirt trail, than it is a true “hike” through treacherous terrain

Itinerary

Morogoro town to Morning site

  • Morning Side And Uluguru Mountains

    3 hoursAdmission Ticket Included
    The first day in the morning you start the hike from our office or the guide will pick you up from your Hotel to Morning side with lunch boxes via Choma traditional village with the waterfall. Lunch will be on the way. Dinner and overnight at Morning side. Morning side is the old German hotel but now is used as a historical site. There is a very nice view of Morogoro town. It also takes 6 - 7 hours but we will spend few hours at Choma waterfalls and hike up to Morning side later for dinner and overnight

Bondwa peak

  • Bondwa Peak

    4 hoursAdmission Ticket Included
    The second day after breakfast you hike further to Bondwa peak, then walk down to Morning side, stop for lunch and then walk back to town via Ruvuma village. The third highest peak of Uluguru mountains with the elevation of 2080m above the sea level where by Morogoro is 600m
