Itinerary
7:00-8:00AM - Pickup from selected hotels in Perth
- 8:00AM - Departure from Perth and start of tour - Stop for morning tea at the Busselton Jetty (Own expense) - Head to one of Margaret River's boutique breweries for lunch with complimentary beer and cider tasting - Enjoy further wine tasting from a selected winery (varies depending on availability) - Take a guided tour of Mammoth Cave - Drive through the Boranup Forest of enormous Karri Trees - Marvel at the dividing point between the Southern and Indian oceans at the Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse - Head north up to the township of Margaret River for a brief stop to stroll the main street - 8:30PM - Arrival in Perth and end of tour with hotel drop-offNote: The itinerary is subject to change due to weather or traffic conditions.

Our driver and tour guide, Mick, was professional and his commentaries are interesting. This one day tour is good if you want to see some main attractions in the Margaret river region but it does not visit any breweries or wineries. As travelling time between Perth and Margaret River is about 2-3 hours, time at each attraction was about 30-45 mins which I felt was sufficient. Had a hiccup in the morning. I had indicated the pick-up point to be Ibis Hotel on Pelago, however I still didn't see the bus at the pick-up time. Called the tour operator number provided on the booking only to learn that they don't do pick-ups at Ibis. The pick-up point was at Holiday Inn which was a 3 min walk away instead. We were the last to board the bus. When asked why I wasn't informed about the correct pick-up point, the tour operator said that instructions were not relayed from the third party booking platforms to customers. Please contact the tour agency to confirm the pick-up point if you are booking on Pelago. Do note that there isn't time for dinner on this tour. When we reached the last stop which was the Margaret River town slightly past 5pm, all the shops were closed and there isn't anything much to see. We could only get some light bites at the supermarket. There was also an additional stop at the petrol station after this to get snacks. We were only dropped off at our hotel in Perth at 9.30pm.
