Parque Arauco One of the most important malls in Chile and Latin America. Santa Lucia Hill has been one of the most important points since the founding of Santiago. On February 12, 1541, the monumental neoclassical entrance of the hill was completed in 1902 and harmonizes around a sculpture of the god Neptune an entire architectural set with curved stairs, swimming pools, a large terrace and a triumphal arch topped by a dome. The ensemble is a very evocative image of the lifestyle of the high society of Santiago in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The Plaza de la Aviación is an extension of the Balmaceda Park, which was created in 1929 as part of the old Japanese Park, designed by Austrian landscape designer Oscar Prager. Its current name is in honor of the Chilean Air Force monument erected in 1980.
