Wanfenglin is the important component of national scenic area Maling River Canyon. East peak forest is characterized by Karst peak cluster landform, and west peak forest is highland Karst landform. Falls somersault from the hilltops along the valley and there are various Karst caves behind the falls or in the cliffs. Lush, subtropical plants cover the riversides. The most beautiful part of the gorge is Tian Xing Hua Lang-Heavenly star gallery which is about 2kms long with a average depth of 200 meters, lot of cascades make the grand canyon a stunning picture. We need to walk down to the bottom of the canyon, then walk along the gorge, finally climp up through another gate, the total trip for sightseeing Xian Xing Hua Lang is about 2 and half hours, remember to wear hiking shoes good for walking. Now there is a cable car, you may pay the extra money to take the cable car if you don't want to walk.

In 2005, it was ranked one of China's six most beautiful villages and towns by Chinese National Geography. It holds over 1,000 households and nearly 6,000 inhabitants. A small river runs through the village, which lies in a basin amidst the green mountains with terraced fields creeping upwards along the slopes. The Dong people inhabit timber-made houses built row upon row on the hillside. The village is also well-known for its five beautiful drum towers, five wind-and-rain (flower) bridges and five theater stages, all scattered across the five villages. A drum tower is a multi-storied pagoda-like wooden structure built without the use of any nails. As a symbol of a Dong village, it is usually the tallest building.
