Highlights
Southeast Botanical Gardens is located in a vast area of 150,000 square meters in Okinawa. There are plenty of spots to enjoy on the premises where you can appreciate about 1,300 kinds of plants! A botanical garden surrounded by deep green where you can come contact with Japan's No. 1 Yusura palm-lined street, herb garden and animals. Plants that can only be seen here, such as the baobab tree that boasts of paradise, the lotus spreading all over and the world's longest-life tree Ryuketsuju.
Water paradise is a botanical world where a wide variety of plants grow abundantly.
A botanical garden surrounded by deep green where you can come into contact with Japan's No. 1 Yusura palm tree, herb garden, and animals.
The animals in the paradise can be freely interacted with in the great outdoors, giving both adults and children pleasure and healing.

Good to know
Daytime admission: 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM, last admission 5:00 PM.
Illumination (Night Part) admission: 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM, admission starts from 4:30PM, light show starts from 6:30PM and the last admission 9:30 PM.
Illumination admission valid for 60 days after the selected date and can only be used once (no applicable from 21 December 2024 to 5 January 2025, and 11 January to 13 January 2025).

We LOVED visiting here. Everything wasn’t expensive, even the restaurant is super yummy. You get to hang out with all kinds of animals, and feed them for ¥200 yen. It was so pretty and all of the employees were extremely nice and helpful even with the language barrier.
