You’ll be able to witness the hard work put in by the locals, who earn their living from the locally available natural resources, as you pass through the little fishing villages and local communities sited on the borders of the Lagoon which stretches up to the mighty ocean. Small and large scale fishermen share the same space in the lagoon and you’ll get a glimpse of the shrimp farms which are a booming business in the Lagoon area of Kalpitiya.
