Visit koalas - Karri & Waru, as they wake up for the day. Before hopping into the back of house - kangaroo exhibit for an intimate behind-the-scenes experience.
Meet our mob of kangaroos, the keepers who care for them and if you’re lucky our charming, Tamar and Swamp wallaby species. Venture into the mysterious underground, nocturnal world of wombats, as they get cozy in their burrows.
And finally finish off your Aussie adventure by flying into the Great Flight Aviary.
Keep your eyes and ears open for the melodies of native marine, rainforest and bushland bird species.
Will you see colourful rainbow lorikeets, spot bower birds hiding their blue treasures or be laughed at by cheeky kookaburras? Each encounter will be unique, allowing our keepers to let the individual animals shine and give them the choice to control how they participate.

Monday - Sunday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Meeting Point: Melbourne Zoo main gate entrance
Child Policy
Minumum age 5 years
Participants aged 5 - 12 must have accompanying adult supervision: 1 adult per 3 children, 2 adults per 4 children
All passengers aged 1 and over must have a ticket. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Parents or adult guardians must take responsibility for participating children at all times.
The Adult to Child ratio for children aged 8 and under is 1:1. The Adult to Child ratio for children aged 9–15 is 1:2.

Zoos Victoria may choose to cancel specific encounters due to inclement weather, animal welfare or insufficient bookings Whenever possible, guests will be notified in advanced and dates re-scheduled, or full payment will be refunded
Please do not wear strong perfume or aftershave
Enclosed shoes must be worn for all animal experiences
Prams and strollers cannot be taken into the off-limits areas
Weekends, school holidays and public holidays can be a a busy time at the Zoo and parking is limited. Please allow sufficient time for parking and entering the Zoo
Due to unpredictable animal behaviour, experiences may vary
All participants must agree to follow the keeper's instructions
Participants may be asked to leave the enclosure at any time during the encounters at the discretion of Zoo staff
Photos can only be used for personal purposes. Flashes must not be used when taking photos. Rangers are unable to take photos of participants during the encounter
No food or drink can be taken into experiences
Booking Confirmation
Your booking will be confirmed by the provider within 48 hours
Cancellation Policy
A full refund will be processed if cancelled at least 48 hours before date of selection. No refund will be processed if cancelled less than 48 hours before the date of selection.
Redemption Notes
Show mobile or printed voucher to the staff before commencing the activity.

Upon booking confirmation, this ticket is valid on the date of selection only.
