Mirissa is one of the best places in the world for whale watching, especially for the most famous and largest marine mammal, the "Blue Whale." Actually, it takes only six to nine nautical miles from Mirissa Harbor to reach whale habitats. We have been operating whale-watching tours for the last seven years, and through our experience
Our whale-watching tours start from Mirissa harbor, and most of the time whales can be seen very close to the Mirissa coast. Some days it takes several hours as they swim away for food in the deep sea. During our journey to see blue whales, we can also see several other whale species, dolphins, and other marine life.
Killer whales, sperm whales, and Bride whales are the different kinds of whales we can see. Spinner dolphins, bottlenose dolphins, and Riso dolphins are the various dolphin types. Also, green-back turtles, whale sharks, Flying fish, and Tuna fish are other marine species that can be seen on some days.

we run our whale-watching tours mid of August to end of April 1st ….The whale sighting is 50% chance every day. Now it depend on your luck .but, I try to do my very best and hope to give you a memorable and enjoyable tour ❤️. 2nd … there are about 20-25 whale watching boats from (different companies) depart daily for whale watching. They all go same direction. But there are only 1 or 2 whales in our sea area we can see.. if find a whale, many boats chasing for one whale..But, we are follow only their natural behavior and we are not disturb the animals☺️..if we find a whale, we want to see them to our passengers. We are not doing whale chasing and hunting ..But some people misunderstand about our job. some blame us that we are disturbing the whales..I'm one of nature lover and I love my job very much and I want to do it without any stress.Therefore I humble request from you, if you can understand our job, please join with us our tour.. 3rd … We stop our boat mid of tour 30 minutes for sea bath ( you have to bring a swimming kit )
