If you love animals and want to find an ethical animal interaction then this tour is for you!
After collecting you at your hotel or meeting point we will take a scenic drive through the Magaliesburg mountains. , On arrival, you will sign in and have a few minutes to look at the lovely curio shop, have a cool drink or just enjoy the relaxing nature sounds.
Then we will take a short hike through a beautiful natural forested area via wooden bridge pathway in the trees. Slowly we will ascend past the trees to a rocky outcrop with a stunning view. There is a swinging bridge making it a fun outdoor adventure for all ages. (A moderate fitness level is required.)
This is the home of the monkey sanctuary where rescued lemurs and monkeys can live out their lives in safety. The monkeys are curious by nature and might approach you and even jump on you to investigate what is new in their world.

5 hoursAdmission Ticket IncludedIt will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes to arrive at the location. On arrival you will have a 15 minute rest stop. The monkey forest walk takes approximately 1 hour. At the monkey sanctuary, you will walk through a beautiful forested area where the monkeys and lemurs are free roaming. The monkeys might interact with you by jumping onto you to catch a ride or to get some food. There are many species of monkeys and lemurs that live inside the sanctuary and your guide will tell you interesting facts about the different species and their habits. Many of the monkeys are rescued from being pets, so supporting the sanctuary means these animals can live out their lives in a natural area with others of their kind. After the tour you will have 15 minutes to browse the gift shop and get refreshments. Then we will return to the original pick up location which should take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
