As we approach Minneriya National Park, we'll stroll across this breathtaking landscape in search of local species. Have you ever been a few meters away and witnessed a wild elephant?
More than 170 bird species have been identified in Minneriya National Park. Some of the highlights include migratory waders like the Woodsand Piper, Common Sandpiper, and Kentish Plovers, as well as forest birds like Malabar-pied Hornbills, Rufus Woodpecker, the critically endangered Lesser Adjutant, and the endemic Sri Lanka Grey Horn-bill, Sri Lanka Green Pigeon, Brown-capped Babbler, and Sri Lanka Jungle Fowl.
Your chance is now! You'll adore the opportunity to observe these enormous beasts in their natural environment. After taking advantage of the safari, we'll head back to your Sigiriya guesthouse.
