The oldest parts of the step-well date from the 8th century onwards, but the upper stories were built around the 18th century during the Mughal era. It does consists of 3,500 narrow steps over 13 stories. It extends approximately 30 m (100 ft) into the ground, making it one of the deepest and largest step wells in India. Diwan e-Khas or the Hall of Private Audience has delicate mosaic work in glass. Sukh mandir is guarded by sandalwood doors inlaid with ivory. Later return to down town for the next place in Jaipur.
