There are plenty of places worth visiting such as Arashiyama, which used to be the aristocrats’ summer resort, a magnificent temple with a stunning garden, the alleys where geisha girls in kimono stroll, and the celebrated shrine with a tunnel of a thousand vermillion torii gates.
