Our journey begins with a seamless pick-up in Le Havre, where our experienced guide will meet you at the cruise port or at your hotel. Le Havre, with its strategic location on the Normandy coast, played a crucial role during World War II. As we depart from Le Havre, your guide will provide a brief introduction to the significance of the region and the heroic efforts undertaken by the Allied troops who fought to liberate Europe from Nazi occupation. The journey from Le Havre to our first destination sets the stage for the profound historical experience that awaits you at the D-Day Landing sites.

At the German Cemetery, a distinct narrative of the D-Day events awaits you. Set against tranquil surroundings, this solemn site commemorates the sacrifices made by all parties involved in the conflict. With rows of meticulously placed tombstones, it stands as a solemn testament to the profound cost of war.

At the rugged cliffs of Pointe du Hoc, visitors are immediately transported to a pivotal moment during the D-Day landings of World War II. This prominent headland situated between Utah and Omaha Beach was a strategic German defense post, with fortified positions, including artillery batteries that threatened Allied forces. On June 6, 1944, U.S. Army Rangers bravely scaled these 100-foot cliffs under intense enemy fire to neutralize the position, a feat of courage that played a crucial role in the success of the Normandy invasion. Today, the site stands as a testament to their bravery, with bomb craters, destroyed bunkers, and a monument honoring the Rangers' sacrifices. As you walk among the ruins, the weight of history is palpable, offering a deep and humbling reflection on the monumental events that took place here.

One of the most poignant stops on this tour is Omaha Beach, infamously known as "Bloody Omaha." It was one of the main landing points during the D-Day invasion of Normandy in World War II and saw some of the most intense fighting of the campaign. Visitors will have the opportunity to walk along the beach, reflect on the events that took place there, and pay their respects. At this point during the day we will distribute packed lunches. Our team has personally prepared a homemade baguette lunch for you, alongside which you will receive water and dessert.

Our next stop on this solemn journey is the American Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer. Set amidst serene surroundings, this sacred site serves as the final resting place for over 9,000 American soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice during the Normandy invasion. Walking among the perfectly aligned rows of white crosses and Stars of David, the magnitude of the sacrifice made by the Allies becomes apparent. Each marker represents a life cut short in the pursuit of freedom, a reminder of the profound impact of war. Take a moment of reflection at the Memorial Chapel, a solemn tribute to the fallen. Here, you can pay your respects, offering gratitude for the bravery and selflessness displayed by these remarkable individuals.
