This course has full body treatment & mugwort steaming including head and
face. The back aroma lymphatic massage thoroughly massages the back, arms, and
waist.The small facial lymphatic massage begins with exfoliation and use the
24-gold gold pack and decort. The metabolism is improved and skin quality is
improved by allowing excess water to flow out.

This is a full course that includes the popular mugwort steaming, full body
care, and a Korugi facial. The aroma lymphatic massage carefully massages the
back, arms, and waist. In addition to the Korugi, the small face lymphatic
massage provides thorough care from dead skin care to the Decorte. You can
also expect effects of improving skin quality, such as facial mineral steam
(sebum removal, exfoliation, pore tightening) and lifting care.

We specialize in mugwort steaming and have specially ordered ceramic sitz
baths.The mugwort used is prescribed by a Doctor of Korean Medicine. It is
effective for women with cold constitution or menstrual cramps by warming the
uterus and improving blood flow, and men can expect improvement in the urinary
system.

It was average. The lady at the reception spoke English. The others did not. The ”spa” was dated. The location in Myeongdong was easy to find. The Korean masseuse assigned to me was using hard and harsh strokes on my face. I did not mind it on my body, but the face was delicate. I may come back, only because the ladies at the spa were genuinely nice.
The language barrier is challenging if you don’t speak Korean or Japanese but the staff at front of the house was lovely and spoke reasonable English to explain the process. There’s about 40 stairs to access the spa and there’s three levels in the spa place with a different phase at each level. So be ready for some stairs. We got the course A 120 min package. The breakdown is 80min combined massage, spa and 40 min mugwort steaming. Once the treatment began: - staff spoke a little mandarin which helped with communication as we didn’t speak Korean or Japanese, with apologies. - started with feet washing, which felt rushed and hurried. I sat for 10 seconds to wash my feet in water. The foot scrub that was included with my mum’s face lift didn’t seem to be performed for her. (This was extra $) - we lay on firm plastic covered beds, which I presume is for sanitation purposes. Not very comfortable. - overall the lymphatic massage was quite rough, which was explained at the beginning. But probably not my cup of tea. - the facial treatment done seemed quite nice. - the pelvic air massage was a device wrapped around the waist that squeezed intermittently. Probably not my cup of tea again. Then we were hurried to the next part of the spa: - mugwort steaming: you sit on a ceramic chair with a hollow based that contains a heated water lamp with herbs and the hot air rises to warm you from the bottom half. This was okay. Provided crackers and water. Music cut in and out which was more jarring than relaxing. Was oily after from the massage which was nice but there’s no showering facilities. You get one dry towel to wipe yourself down with, so we went back to shower and change clothes as there was the remaining herbal smell from the treatments. Overall interesting traditional experience to try for our first time in Seoul. Would try other places in the future.
