The dispersed throughout history of Angampora is trust to be over than 33,000 years along with the story of Kataragama Mahasen, the audacious Angampora warrior of Yakkha tribe and Maha Rawana who was born to the same tribe. Angampora was enormously spread which was came more popular as it was introduced to Buddhist civilization. The Rawana era can be identified as the golden age of martial arts. “Angam” is the body “Pora” is the fight. The battle with the unarmed body is called Angampora. The battles with weapons are called Ilangam. Angam fighter is a person who has been disciplined.
