Puerto Princesa is the capital of Palawan province and serves as the main gateway to visitors that are on their way to visit Underground River, El Nido, and San Vicente. This tour will take you along a route passing the City Hall, the Immaculate Conception Cathedral, the Boulevard, the Eulalia Park and the Plaza Cuartel, a restored ruin of a Japanese military base built during the World War II. It is the longest navigable underground river in the world, winds its way underneath a mountain range, through the St. Paul Underground river cave, and then goes out into the South China Sea. The entire area where the Underground River is located is actually a national park and a model of biodiversity. The park encompasses one of the world’s most impressive cave systems, featuring spectacular limestone karst landscapes, pristine natural beauty and intact old-growth forests and distinctive wildlife.
