Best Ways to Get to Aquaria KLCC

Aquaria KLCC boasts a wide array of exhibits featuring nearly 5,000 land and aquatic animals. It’s located in the heart of the Kuala Lumpur city centre, making it an easily accessible spot among locals and tourists alike.

This must-visit attraction is packed to the brim with all sorts of magical marine life, and is reachable via car, train, and bus.

Read on for more information on how to get there — including Aquaria KLCC parking, routes, and more.

Getting to Aquaria KLCC by car or Grab/taxi

Many would say that the easiest way to get to Aquaria KLCC is by car, especially for those travelling with children.

If you decide to hop on a Grab or taxi instead of driving youself, enter "Aquaria KLCC" or "Kuala Lumpur Convention Center" as your drop-off point. That'll bring you to the entrance leading to the aquarium. And all you've got to do after is take the escalator down to the concourse level. Simple as pie!

Where is Aquaria KLCC located?

Aquaria KLCC's location is right under the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, so there are plenty of options to park your vehicle.

As for which floor the oceanarium is on, Aquaria KLCC's floor is on the concourse level.

Where to park at Aquaria KLCC

One option for parking near Aquaria KLCC would be at the Suria KLCC shopping mall.

After parking your car, you can take the Underground Pedestrian Tunnel connecting it directly to Aquaria KLCC's level. The walk takes about five to 10 minutes and the pathway is air-conditioned, so it won’t feel like a hassle.

There is also Wisma UOA Centre, which is located directly opposite the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, across Jalan Pinang. Other parking options near Aquaria KLCC include Grand Hyatt Hotel Kuala LumpurImpiana KLCC Hotel & SpaMenara HLA/HLX, and Jalan Kia Peng.

But the most convenient Aquaria KLCC car parking option would be at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre Complex itself. However, parking spaces here are limited, so if this is your top pick, it’s best to come earlier in the day.

Getting to Aquaria KLCC by train

Aquaria KLCC's building is also easily accessible via public transport, and if you want to take the train, there are two options available:

MRT or Monorail

For those taking the MRT, disembark at Bukit Bintang Station (SBK 18A) and walk towards the Pavilion Kuala Lumpur shopping mall. From there, you’ll see a covered pedestrian walkway that will lead you to Aquaria KLCC within 10 minutes or less.

If you’re taking the monorail, get off at Raja Chulan Station (MR7). You can then walk along the covered pedestrian walkway. That way you'll reach the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in no time.

KL MRT operating hours are from 6am to 12 midnight daily, while the Monorail is open from 6am to 11.30pm daily.

LRT

For those taking the LRT, exit at KLCC Station (KJ10), which is part of the Kelana Jaya LRT Line, and the nearest LRT station to Aquaria KLCC. Once you get there, walk towards Suria KLCC and make your way to the aforementioned Underground Pedestrian Tunnel, where you can walk to Aquaria KLCC. Just remember to (head towards Uniqlo and Maybank) if you're not sure.

KL LRT operating hours are from 6am to 11.30pm daily.

Getting to Aquaria KLCC by bus

Buses are another convenient way to get to Aquaria KLCC via public transport, with two options available:

GOKL Bus

The best part about this bus is that it’s free and the frequency is every five to 10 minutes. You’ll easily recognise it by its signature pink appearance. Operating hours are from 6am to 11pm on weekdays, and 7am to 11pm on weekends and public holidays.

From your point of origin, take the GOKL Bus (Green Line) and disembark at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre bus stop.

KL Hop-On Hop-Off Bus

You can also opt for the KL Hop-On Hop-Off Bus (CITY route). Disembark once you reach Stop 9 Aquaria, which is right in front of Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Bus frequency is every 20 to 30 minutes, and operating hours are from 9am to 6pm.

We recommend this bus if you’re planning to explore other parts of KL afterwards; there is a 24-hour pass to make touring more convenient for you. Since it’s a double-decker bus, there is an open roof deck which is ideal for sightseeing.
