Highlights
Depart your hotel for Phnom Kulen, the birthplace of the Khmer empire, located 50 kilometers from Siem Reap. Enjoy a scenic drive through the countryside to the mountain summit, home to the 16th-century Buddhist monastery, Phra Ang Tho, where King Jayavaraman II declared independence in 802 AD. See a 17-meter reclining Buddha and explore jungle paths with traditional Khmer healers. Visit the River of 1000 Lingas with sandstone carvings and follow the river to a two-tier waterfall for lunch and a swim. Return to Siem Reap in the mid-afternoon. This tour combines natural beauty and cultural history, perfect for families and nature lovers.

Arrive at the base of Phnom Kulen after a one-hour drive.Summit and Explore Phra Ang Tho Monastery

Drive to the River of 1000 Lingas and walk into the water to view the carved sandstone lingas.Waterfall
