Enjoy your private trip from Rome with your English speaking driver to Bomarzo. There are many elements that contribute to consider the Park of the Monsters of Bomarzo as an eminent example of an initiatory itinerary and not as a simple expression, although bizarre and unusual, of the Italian mannerist taste. Villa Lante in Bagnaia together with the Bomarzo Monster Park, represents one of the most admirable examples of an Italian mannerist style garden from the 16th century. Finally, Palazzo Farnese, in Caprarola, is one of the most beautiful Renaissance palaces in Europe. The vision of its high gardens is unique and wonderful, precisely because the Italian gardens, decorated with fountains, labyrinth hedges and caryatids (some of which sculpted by Pietro Bernini) are designed to be admired from above.
