Villarrica Volcano is the most active in Chile! It has an open crater, emanates gases in permanence and according to its activity it is possible to see magma inside its crater. It is ideal for mountaineering, for beginners or for experienced people. The view from the summit (at 2847msnm) is breathtaking and allows to observe several lakes and volcanoes.

When the volcano is snowy, the descent is done with sleds and it is possible to lower the entire volcano by sliding sitting. It is a unique experience that is not performed on any other mountain in the world!
