Highlights

Visit the ancient town of Mylapore which used to trade pepper and fine cloth with Rome for gold. Experience mesmerizing rituals in the 7th century temples of Kapaleeswar. Learn the science behind the rituals and role of temple in modern Indian society.
We also visit San Thome Basilica to see the relics of St Thomas who came here 2000 years ago.
The other experience includes Ramakrishna Math the monastic organization and Fort Saint George which provides a vivid history of how the East India Company came as traders and became the rulers of India.

We visit the magnificent Kapaleeshwar temple. Built in the 7th century this temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Built in Dravidian style architecture it has a towering “Gopuram”.
