Very interesting tour
Our tour guide Jack made the whole experience lot more enjoyable! He is knowledgeable, friendly and approacheable which made our trip seamless. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to delve deeper into the history of the old Thailand, which an experienced tour guide like Jack.
Long but very enjoyable full day! Hotel pickup right on time with good information/contacts emailed 1 day before the day of activity. The guide shared good historical stories for us to appreciate the 4 parks we visited, else it might be a little boring just walking around temples and ruins, under hot sun. Very impressive and beautiful structures with rich history. Strongly recommended to visit Ayutthaya with a local guide. We had a small group of 6 in a van, with 3 other missing guests. The van could be too crowded if all 9 squeeze in. Remember to check email a day before the activity because the meeting location could be different from the listed one in the description. Our 3 missing guests didn't show up at the correct meeting location. To be fair, the booking confirmation email also reminded us to lookout for email later for the meeting time and location.
I have booked this trip through Pelago and the agency handling this is TripGuru in Bangkok. I like the communication process provided as they ensure they are reachable should we have any issues. TripGuru provided information on email, contact numbers and the guide presented on the day was friendly.
All went well from pick up at hotel to place of visit and friendly guide from tripguru. Glad I pick this tour .
Our guide, Koi, was absolutely amazing and so knowledgable, as well as having a good feel for the energy level of the group, which itself was awesome. The itinerary was very full, which for me was a good thing, the only thing I would maybe have appreciated was eg. 1hr of 'free time' to explore the town outside of the temples. Overall, definitely worth booking!
