Spread across 42 acres of land, Bird Paradise in Singapore is home to 3500 birds from 400 diverse species, 24% of which are endangered. Now that's impressive, isn't it?

Read on to know about all you need to know about Singapore's Bird Paradise and explore the park like a pro. But first, it's best to purchase your Bird Paradise tickets online to avoid standing in the queue at the counter outside the park.

A Brief Look at Bird Paradise Singapore

Bird Paradise is located inside the Mandai Wildlife Reserve. The Bird Paradise opened its doors in 2023, replacing the popular Jurong Bird Park of Singapore.

You will be awed by the wide array of species that live freely in their natural biome in this place. Eight large walk-through aviaries showcase different biomes from the world. From dense African rainforests to Southeast Asian forests to Australian dry landscapes - travel the world by taking a walk through this one-of-a-kind park. The Ocean Network Penguin Cove is the cherry on the cake. With a 2000-seater amphitheatre and various animal presentations, this place is a hot favourite among tourists and locals, irrespective of their age.

How to Get Around Using the Mandai Bird Paradise Map?

Yes, covering 42 acres of land is not easy. It can be difficult to understand where to go and you may miss out on some of the areas that you would like to explore.

The best way to go about this is using a Bird Paradise map. The map is available on a mobile app, for easy access. You can also download the Bird Paradise map and use it offline. Let's take a closer look at the areas of the map.

1. Entrance to Mandai Bird Paradise Singapore

The entrance to Bird Paradise is from the west side of Mandai Wildlife Park. There's a waterfall and three areas here - Pangolin Hideout, Pangolin Adventure and Forest Stream Trail.

Pangolin Hideout: This area is inspired by the burrows of a pangolin. Kids can enjoy mimicking the patterns of pangolins such as climbing up a netted climbing structure, burrowing into various tunnels and having fun sliding down a metal slide.

Pangolin Adventure: This is another pangolin-themed playground with lower climbing structures and swings.

Forest Stream Trail: This lovely playground is where kids can learn about riverine forest ecosystems. It's got logs, and root structures that mimic a mangrove forest. You can sit at the Starbucks next door and keep an eye on your kids while they play.

You don't need a ticket to enter this zone. There are a few food options such as Starbucks and the Birds of Paradise ice cream cafe here as well.

2. Bird Paradise Zones

Once you walk in, you will find different paths which will take you to the different zones. Let's explore these zones starting by turning left from the entrance.

i. Bird Paradise Penguin Cove

The first exhibit is Bird Paradise Penguin Cove, one of the world's largest sub-Antarctic cold salt-water penguin habitats. You can experience these adorable birds amid an underwater kelp forest and a rocky beach. This place houses various penguin species including Gentoo, king and northern rockhopper penguins.

ii. Winged Sanctuary

Walking left from the penguin cove will take you to the winged sanctuary, home to over 100 species of predatory or rare birds that need conservation. You can spot the critically endangered Philippine Eagle and several hornbill species here.

iii. Australian Outback

Walk straight ahead from the Penguin Cove to reach the Shaw Foundation Australian Outback where you can find 30 bird species from Down Under. You will be amazed by the range of species here.
