This is the right way to do the favorite activity of the locals, in the right order exactly as the islanders do on their own holiday evenings, especially in Winter as this experience feels even better when it's rainy and cold.
We started the evening with your pick-up, and then we had Furnas with a chance to see "Gorreana" the tea plantation, and "Pico do Ferro" viewpoint during our drive. Once in Furnas, you get to watch your dinner being pulled out of the ground at the "caldeiras". While your dinner is being prepared relax and enjoy your time at the magical hot springs.
After the bath enjoy an earthy dinner comprised of the most famous delicacy of the island - the "cozido", this way you have a smooth digestion and a great night of sleep guaranteed, as often bathing in hot waters after dinner will not be comfortable for most people. Finish your evening enjoying the enchanting geysers and "fumeroles" under the night starry sky, before our drive back to your accommodation.

The entrance fee is included and you can enjoy the pools for 1h30, while the sky becomes dark and temperature cools down. The waters are very warm (39º degrees celsius) providing you a great relaxing time specially in Winter, as locals don´t even bath here in Summer.Furnas
1 hours 30 minsAdmission Ticket FreeAfter your thermal bath, that will build up your appetite, we head to the center of Furnas village where you will enjoy the "Cozido" at a local restaurant. The "cozido" is a staple dish in teh island, slowly cooked for 6h underground by the volcano steam and it´s build up in layers of the following ingredients: 3 types of meet, 2 types of sausage, 6 types of vegetables, all from the island. 30 minsAdmission Ticket FreeAfter dinner we head to the place where you can watch the volcano volcano activity on it´s glory, with the smoking "fumaroles" and boiling waters under the starry sky, and you can taste the different mineral waters of the volcano springs. During Christmas time it is even more magical as the nativity scene is set here, a magical moment! After we end the night by driving back to your accommodation (aprox. 35 min.)
