This is a World Heritage site that reminds us of the history of Renaissance period. It tells the history of the Portuguese, the Arabs and the British era back in the 15th Century.
MOMBASA OLD TOWN.
In Old Town village, You will venture into the Swahili Culture and the Arab's architectural designs of the wood carvings doors and balconies that shows the influence of the Arabs back in the 16th Century.
MACKINNON MARKET.
The narrow streets of Old Town leading all the way to the mackinnon market;famously known for the natural spices. The market was built for slave trade by the British in 1914.11
THE CURIO SHOPS.
When visiting the Old Town, you'll see so many curio or gifts shops where you can buy souvenirs.
THE ELEPHANTS TASKS.
You will also see the famous landmark of Mombasa that's known as the Elephants Tusks or commonly known as Pembe za Ndovu that's reminds us of the visit of Queen Elizabeth. They are located at the heart of Mombasa city along the Moi Avenue road.
