On this tour, you’ll paddle 4-6 miles on the Colorado River, through primitive volcanic canyon walls towering over 900 feet above you. You’ll see giant volcanic boulders at the opening of Black Canyon and crystal clear emerald water beneath you as you paddle along. Enjoy a health-conscious gourmet lunch on a remote beach, while possibly seeing the local wildlife such as desert bighorn sheep, osprey, falcons, bald eagles and great blue heron in their natural setting! Black Canyon, about an hour drive from the Las Vegas Strip, is located in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. Your kayak tour begins in the morning when you arrive at Willow Beach, Arizona where you will meet your Wilderness First Aid/CPR trained guide for a safety briefing. This tour is designed for beginners to advanced paddlers alike and you can choose between self-drive to the departure point or shuttle transportation from select Las Vegas hotels.
