The quintessential Margaret River wine experience exploring the intricacies of
Vasse Felix Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay.
This historical tour takes you on an exploration of Margaret River wine at
Vasse Felix. Your experience begins with a walking tour of the region’s oldest
vines, planted in 1967 by pioneer and Vasse Felix founder Dr Tom Cullity.
After your stroll through the old vines, you’ll gain exclusive access inside
The Vault - home of the historic Vasse Felix wine museum - for this special
private tasting featuring Margaret River’s leading varieties Cabernet
Sauvignon and Chardonnay. Soak in the cellar surrounds while your host guides
you through current vintages of the Vasse Felix Wine Collection, sharing
insights into these varieties, including folklore surrounding the region’s
first Cabernet (the 1972 Vasse Felix Cabernet Sauvignon), ageability and
cellaring advice. Your cellar experience will conclude with a tasting of a
back vintage Vasse Felix Cabernet and Chardonnay selected for your enjoyment
by our Estate Sommelier.
Following the tasting, your journey continues upstairs in the award-winning
Vasse Felix Restaurant for the ultimate treat of a five-course tasting menu,
showcasing local produce, paired with Icon wines.

Vasse Felix is located at the corner of Tom Cullity Drive and Caves Road in
Cowaramup, Margaret River with the main entry to the Estate located on Caves
Road.
Please arrive by 9.55am and make yourself known to our Cellar Door team on
arrival in preparation for a 10am start to your experience.
As a portion of this tour is outdoors, we suggest preparing accordingly to
suit the weather conditions of the day. We also recommend comfortable shoes as
there is a small amount of walking during the tour.
Biosecurity - Protect our Vines
Protecting our vineyards and the region from pests and disease is of critical
importance. As a portion of this tour takes place in our vineyards, we ask
that you refrain from wearing any footwear or clothing you have worn in any
vineyard (WA, other State or Country) in the past 7 days.
