A unique luxury dining experience on a heritage tram.
Tram 411 was built in Melbourne, Australia in 1927 and ran until 1982.
The tram was then refurbished and shipped to Christchurch in 1999 and began operating as the Christchurch Tramway Restaurant in 2000.
This is a very popular dinner tour so reservations are essential.

Good To Know
Please input any special dietary requirements you might have in the special request section. This should preferably be done at least 72 hours in advance
Seat pitch averages 33 centimetres from the back to the table's edge, similar to airplane seats.
Tables and chairs are fixed due to the moving vehicle.
If you or your companions need extra seating space, please inform us during booking.
Standard menu and pricing apply for children aged 6 and over.
A small airplane-style restroom is available onboard.
The tram stops midway to allow guests to use larger restroom facilities in Cathedral Junction.
The Christchurch Tramway Restaurant departs from Cathedral Junction at 7 PM from April – September 2023 and at 7:30 PM from October 2023 onwards. A 5 PM departure is available on selected dates from October 2023 onwards. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled service departure time.
The Tramway Restaurant is closed on public holidays.
Not recommended for children under 10 years of age, but a minimum of age of 6 years applies.
Children must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Booking Confirmation
Your booking will be confirmed by the provider within 24 hours.
Refund/Cancellation Policy
A full refund will be processed if cancelled at least 48 hours before date of selection. No refund will be processed if cancelled less than 48 hours before the date of selection.
Advanced Booking
Please book at least 24 hours prior to your date of selection to guarantee your booking.
Redemption Notes
Show mobile or printed voucher to the staff before commencing the activity.
