During the cooking session, guests engage in the entire process from cut in the vegetables to giving the final mix of the dishes. The vast knowledge gained during the class allows the clients to prepare their own Sri Lankan dishes back in their home country. They receive a note book which allows guest to note down anything they want in order to take back what they learnt and follow the notes and gained knowledge to cook Sri Lankan dished for their friends and their families thus making Sri Lankan culinary internationally loved.
Spices used in the class are personally made by Sulochana as it preserves the original taste of Sri Lankan dishes and ensures that there are no added artificial ingredients. Making her own spices enables Sulochana to have utmost trust about the health and quality aspects of the dishes prepared at Thotupola residence.
