Shuttle was waiting for me and the driver, Fred, was helpful and informative about Cairns.
The operator of the ride, Exemplar, was excellent. However the booking confirmation does not mention at all that the company picking me up is not Con X ion but Exemplar. The information was not passed on to Exemplar either, who told me at their counter they didn’t have my name (again, the counter staff was excellent). In the end, this was resolved for me by a kind airport worker (Geoffrey) and the Exemplar people. Do yourself a favour book directly with Exemplar - there is no Con X ion in Cairns
Both pickups, from the airport initially, then the return journey some 10 days later were both extremely good. Drivers were friendly and right on time. My only issue with Pelango was the difficulty in establishing my pickup time for the 2nd trip to the airport. I waited days with no update or information. Finally told to contact them myself, which I had to get the hotel to do for me as I didn’t have a private phone I could use. Finally contacted the transfer company direct. Not a good service from Pelago.
When I reached Cairns airport I had to call the office as there was no pick up. I was informed the booking hadn’t been confirmed as I had not given a full address in PD. I had spoken to customer services 2 days before to add extra luggage so not sure why this want flagged up then. I had to wait 1.5hours then and I was placed with a different company for my transfer.
Very disappointed with your service, you couldn’t take me to the Hotel ,Because you couldn’t find my booking, very bad service
