It will be in the following century that the Maddalena chapel, the Refectory and the Cloister will be annexed. Among the personalities who worked there, Giordano, Vaccaro and De Mura stand out. The Maddalena chapel, the Conversi Choir, the sacristy, and the fresco of the Treasure are very well preserved. In 1866, Giuseppe Fiorelli founded the National Museum of San Martino, seat of the collection of art objects connected with Naples and the history of the southern kingdom. The Charterhouse of San Martino shares the highest point of the city of Naples with Sant'Elmo Castle.
