Explore the rugged coastline of Bruny Island in southern Tasmania on a 3-hour wilderness cruise on the Southern Ocean. Explore wave-carved sea stacks, remote islands, beaches and bays, kelp forests, towering cliffs, and deep-sea caves. Marvel at the awesome "Breathing Rock" that spouts water every minute, and the dolerite sea stack "Monument" that guards the south Bruny coastline. Witness abundant coastal wildlife like seals, dolphins, migratory whales and sea birds. Enjoy local seafood at a beachfront restaurant.
Overall, it was a good experience and I recommend it. Crew were thoughtful. Perhaps the trip was a bit too long and can be shorter. Everyone was tired afterwards and they seem all unwell.
It was really good, and the crew was very thoughtful (handing out hand warmers). Perhaps it was a bit long and I got a bit dizzy after the trip.
The trip is well organized. Unfortunately we didn’t get to see much. There are a few seals, a far-away whale and a barely visible dolphin. Maybe it is the timing of the year (Oct). The wind is very strong and cold on the return journey. Way too cold for us!
