Eligibility
This pass can be purchased and used by Non-Japanese Citizens. You require to present a passport upon ticket collection.
Child Policy
An Adult's or Child's rail pass holder can accompany up to 2 infants (1-5 years old) for free.
An infant aged under 1 year old can be accompanied for free.
Child's rail passes will be required for each infant when accompanied infants use Reserved seats by themselves OR when infants travel by themselves.

How to use a ticket vending machine:

This pass cannot be used on Shinkansen.
If you need to use a reserved seat, (GREEN car) First-class car, or a LINER train, you will need to pay additionally.
Please inform the staff of the start date of use when redeeming, and use it within 3 days. You can't use it after the expiration date and cannot change the validity period.
After you start using this pass, the validity period of the pass will not be extended due to train suspension, delay, etc.
If the machine breaks down or the passport have no IC chip, please proceed to JR-WEST Ticket Office to exchange physical ticket.
