TOEI Kyoto Studio Park is the only theme park in Japan where you can observe
the filming of period dramas (jidaigeki films)!
Many of old Japanese movies and dramas were shoot on this property. It
perfectly presents the street scenes of the Edo and Meiji eras.
It also preserves the film and television dramas shot by TOEI Company. Nearly
200 works are also filmed at the same time every year.
Here you can enjoy Samurai performances, where the historical scenes are
performed intact, and the experience will be open after the performance. You
can also experience dressing up as a Geisha, Ninja, Samurai, etc., and leave a
special photo in Edo period scene setting."
