Itinerary

Day: 01 Drive from Kathmandu Dhulikhel and Trek to Namo Buddha

    Day: 01 Drive from Kathmandu to Namo Buddha (1982m) and hike to Balthali village (1730m). 2.5 hours drive and 3 hours hike. Drive to the Famous Buddhism Pilgrimage place called Namobudhha via Bhaktapur and Dhulikhel then hike to Balthali through the pine forests, and cultivated terraces land enjoying Orange Gardens. Overnight in a local homestay.

    Buddhist Holy place “Namo Buddha”, it is believed that the ancient Buddha was born here as a Prince. The Buddha Sakyamuni selfishness sacrifices to feed a starving tiger by offering his own flesh.

    Balthali village is the closest off-beaten trail from Kathmandu which gives you the opportunity to observe the rich Nepalese cultural tradition and intermingle with the locals. This is like a living museum where you can see even 21st-century people working and farming in traditional style, heading animals, and doing their normal activities.

    Day: 02 Trek to down Panauti (1400m) & drive to back Kathmandu (1320m). 3 hours hike and 2 hour drive After breakfast, walk downhill to Panuiti town, a typical Newari historic city where you can see Hindu pilgrimage sites called Indreswor Mahadev Temple. After visiting around this temples and squares drive back to Kathmandu which takes about two and half hours.

  • Indreshwar Mahadev Temple

    visit 800 years old Hindu shrine Indreshwor temple and its’ wood carvings shape. Along the river bank, we can see the Sun God Surya, moon god Chandra and statues of Bisnu.
