Day 1: Wednesday – Kuala Lumpur – Cameron Highlands

Depart at 8:30am for Cameron Highland, located at 1542 meters above sea level and noted for its tea plantations and cool temperatures. Stop on the way for a visit to see the cottage industry of basket weaving followed by Lata Iskandar Waterfall and a native settlement. Immerse in the cool, crisp air of Cameron Highlands with its wonderful scenery. The tour of Cameron Highlands consists of the tea plantation, tea factory, market place and butterfly farm. Overnight.

Please note: Tea factory operation is closed on Monday and public holidays.

Day 2: Thursday – Cameron Highlands – Penang

Set off in the early morning to Penang. Stop at the Royal town of Kuala Kangsar to see the Ubudiah Mosque, the Iskandariah Palace and Istana Kenangan, which was built without a single nail. These three stops are exterior visits.

Discover the handicrafts of the Royal Town of Kuala Kangsar and embark on a river cruise that includes live narration. Disembark to discover the unique process of keris (dagger) making, a status symbol for Malay royalty and dignitaries. Witness a demonstration of tekat making, where gold threads are intricately embroidered into velvet cushions, an item previously reserved only for the royalty. Lastly visit the Labu Sayong Center to see the uniquely-shaped pots and other artisan crafts. The cool water from the pots is believed to have healing properties.

Cross over to Penang, better known as the 'Pearl of the Orient' via one of the longest bridges in the world. Overnight.

• Keris and tekat making are cottage industry craft making activities operated by villagers as part of family tradition. The visiting hours vary from time to time and will not be available during the fasting month, local public holidays or if any family occasions take place on the visiting day
• Kindly be informed that a MYR3.00 Penang Local Government Fee per room per night has been enforced since 1st June 2014. As this is a mandatory State Fee, it will be collected by the respective hotels upon the guest’s check out.Day 3: Friday – Discovery Tour of Georgetown, Penang

Depart from your hotel at 9am for a city heritage tour of Georgetown, a UNESCO-listed site since 2008. Visit the third longest reclining Buddha figure in the world followed by Kek Lok Si Temple, also known as Temple of 1000 Buddhas. It is the most beautiful and largest Buddhist temple complex in Southeast Asia.

Next visit Fort Cornwallis, the landing site of Captain Francis Light in 1786 when he arrived to start the first British colony in Penang. Head to the water village of The Clan Jetties at Weld Quay and travel along Pitt Street, also known as 'The Street of Harmony,' where churches, Chinese temples, mosques and Hindu temples are built have existed peacefully side-by-side for centuries.

Afterward check out the intricate Khoo Kong Si clan’s house, and enjoy a breezy trishaw ride, a still popular mode of transport in Georgetown. Return to the hotel and the rest of the day is at your own leisure. In the late evening, you can explore the nightlife along Batu Ferringhi, Penang style. Overnight.

Day 4: Saturday – Penang – Kota Bharu

Depart at 8:30am, traveling across Peninsular Malaysia through the main mountain range, which offers scenic views of the dense tropical rain forest while journeying through villages and plantations. En route, make a photo stop on Banding Island with its view of the famous Temenggor lake. Opt for a lunch break (own expense) or explore the lake surrounded by the tropical rainforest in the background.

Then stop at the highest mountain point on this route, 1050 meters above sea level, which overlooks Thailand and Malaysian border, with views of the famous Titiwangsa mountain range with its dense, tropical rainforest. Continue to Kota Bharu, Kelantan and check in upon arrival. Free at leisure for the rest of the day. Overnight.

Note: Effective 1st January 2017, kindly be informed that a MYR 3.00 Kota Bharu Local Government Fee per room per night has been enforced. As this is a mandatory State Fee, it will be collected by the respective hotels upon the guest’s check out.

Day 05: Sun – Kota Bharu – Kuala Terengganu

At 8:30am, start the day with a visit to the famous and colorful wet market of Kota Bharu and the traditional cottage industries such as silver handicraft and songket weaving. Continue our visit to traditional Wau (kite) making. Thereafter, drive along the scenic coastline toward Kuala Terengganu, tasting some keropok, the popular local chips made of fish or prawn. Afterward, check into your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at your own leisure. Overnight.

Day 6: Monday – Kuala Terengganu – Kuantan

Check out of hotel after early breakfast at 8am, heading towards Kuantan. Stop in Kuala Terengganu to visit Pulau Duyong, famous for its traditional boat-making methods. 

Next travel to the Islamic Civilization Park at the Waterfront Heritage City of Kuala Terengganu, showcasing twenty replicas of great Islamic monuments of the world such as Alhambra Citadel of Spain, Taj Mahal of Agra India, Masjidil Haram of Mecca Saudi Arabia and Dome of the Rock Palestine. The head to the Grand Crystal Mosque, the icon and the highlight of the park. Proceed to Kuantan and, on route, taste the lemang, rice cooked with coconut milk in bamboo, a popular Malay delicacy not to be missed.

As we head further south towards Cherating in the district of Kuantan, we will stop at a scenic coastal fishing village and visit a turtle information center where you can learn more about this endangered species. Take an afternoon tea break before visiting the final stop at homegrown Batik Gallery, Malaysia’s famous art textile made from wax, using hand-drawn or hand-blocked technique. Continue to hotel and check in. Overnight.

Please note:

• All flights from Kuantan Airport should depart after 2030hrs.
• During the fasting month of Ramadhan, Islamic Civilization Park is closed. It will be replaced by a visit to the Losong Museum.

Day 7: Tuesday – Kuantan – Kuala Lumpur

Depart for Kuala Lumpur at 8:30am. En-route stop at the quaint historic town of Sungai Lembing situated northwest from Kuantan. Stop at a hanging bridge for a scenic view of the surroundings and then visit Sungai Lembing Museum, which provides insight on the largest, longest and deepest subterranean tin mine in the world. Continue to experience the living museum on foot and visit the underground tunnel, once known as the El Dorado of the East.

Conclude with drop-off in Kuala Lumpur, where your tour ends.
