Located across Kyoto Station, Nidec Kyoto Tower is Kyoto's tallest structure that can be spotted from many of the city's sightseeing areas. The iconic landmark features a viewing platform 100 metres above the ground, where you can see panoramic views of famous sites like the Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Toji Temple, and Chion-in Temple. Completed in 1964, Nidec Kyoto Tower also provides a good view of Osaka on clear days, and showcases a play on colours towards sunset.
What a fantastic 360 degree view you get of Kyoto area. Worked out cheaper getting it through Pelago and easily redeemable. I recommend a visit at twilight and watch day turn to night.
The ticket redemption is so easy. Just show your QR code will do and you are good to go. Skip the queue line.
Redemption was smooth and easy, just turn up and queue to enter. The place is crowded but so is every popular attractions in Japan during the peak season for travelling. Purchasing tickets online means a hassle free experience and you get to beat the queue for buying the tickets on-site. The night view was also amazing. Would definitely recommend.
