Very friendly and helpful tour guide provided. Highly recommended!
We booked this tour not knowing what we were getting into and there were a couple of improvements for the tour organizer. Firstly, there was an unplanned stop at a Handicapped Handicraft facility where we were showed artwork made by the disabled people, including how they use duck egg shells to create mosaic. However, this seems like a tourist trap where prices are highly inflated, it is also doubtful that the artworks are hand-made by the disabled. Secondly, it was raining during our tour and the attraction seemed unable to accommodate the weather. Paths were flooded and tours seemed disorganized as well, with people in our group getting lost, akin to the during the war where we were taking on casualties. It is also recommended to only crawl down the tunnels if one is fit, of asian-build (the tunnels were meant for the pint-sized Vietnamese), and preferably fully covered with tights/exercise wear. It can get dirty and was really tiring to crawl the entire length of the tunnels as well. Our tour guide was delightful and managed to explain the history of the Vietnam War to us, and even went on a short detour to provide us with raincoats for the gloomy weather.
