The Krakow Undergrounds Museum on the Market Square, opened in 2010, is a kind of archaeological park where you can observe pictures of the life of a large, bustling medieval city. At a depth of several metres below the surface of the Main Market Square, from the Cloth Hall to St Mary’s Church, awaits a true treasure trove of information on Kraków’s past. Scales, coins, clothes, jeweleries and even human remains - all the artefacts were found during the excavations.
