Dari
experience the best that Fiordland has to offer.
Board a modern coach settle into a comfortable seat, and prepared to be wowed
by the mesmerising scenery of this World Heritage Site.
As the coach travels deep into the heart of the rugged National Park, listen
to experienced driver guides as they share their wealth of knowledge and the
secrets of their backyard through informative commentary and anecdotal
storytelling. Plenty of stops are made for photos and short nature walks as
you pass through the 45th parallel, ancient rainforest, and glacier carved
valleys in this wild landscape.
On arrival at the main event, Milford Sound, you are dropped right at the door
before boarding a comfortable catamaran for the scenic cruise of a lifetime.
Sail the full length of the fiord to the Tasman sea and back past hanging
rainforest, towering cliffs, cascading waterfalls and an assortment of
Fiordland's unique and wonderful wildlife. View fur seals lounging on rocks,
spot dolphins surfing the wake of the boat, and if you're truly lucky, you may
catch a glimpse of Fiordland's elusive and diminutive crested penguin.
The famously friendly skipper and crew are what sets this cruise above the
rest, ensuring the best atmosphere in the fiord. You'll find them taking those
all important photos, spotting wildlife with the skipper in the open
wheelhouse, sharing their endless local insight, and most importantly, dancing
in the spray of Stirling Falls as the boat noses close to Milford's tallest
waterfall for a refreshing finale.
Lunch is included and served on board the cruise, as well as complimentary tea
and coffee throughout. There is a licenced Cafe Bar serving an assortment of
hot and cold refreshments should a snack top up be required.
Once the cruise returns to the wharf, you'll be whisked back to the coach for
the trip back to base. The full day trip is 8 hours return from Te Anau.
