－What You Can Expect－
Fly up in the air on a hot air balloon operated by Flying Media Co., Ltd., the
first operator in Chiang Rai. Take a breath-taking panoramic sightseeing
flight over the Chiang Rai countryside with an experienced pilot leading the
way.
This unique adventure starts early in the morning to catch the Chiang Rai
beautiful sunrise. Go on an approximately 30-minute drive to the launch site,
which may change due to wind conditions.
Hop in and start your 45 minutes hot air balloon flight with scenic views of
Chiang Rai’s mountains, landscapes, and beautiful sunrise. Soak in the
spectacular colors and feel the breeze of fresh air as the expert pilot
navigates the way.
Once your flight ends, have a post-flight champagne celebration of your unique
experience. A certificate will also be given to you as a token.
If you would like to spend more time appreciating Chiang Rai’s nature, join an
optional Farming Activity at no additional cost. After, you have the option to
be driven back to your Chiang Rai hotel or a nearby area in Singha Park. Enjoy
more of Chiang Rai’s agrotourism, with its farm-like setting of tea

Additional information
- Children at age of 12 years or over 120 cm tall (4 feet) need to be accompanied by a paying Adult
- Written authorization by parents or a guardian must be submitted at times of reservation and boarding (if the child is not traveling with parents or guardian)
- Participants over 75 years of age must produce a medical certificate confirming suitable fitness for flight
- Balloons/baskets vary in size. Capacity is between 4-8 passengers. Maximum weight is 125 kg/person. If above this, an additional charge of 100% will incur at the location. If the total weight exceeds permissible weight for flight by law, no refund or alternate flight can be offered
- The operator is the only licensed Thai ballooning company for commercial flights in Thailand. It has received approval for commercial flights and Standard Certification by the Department of Civil Aviation Thailand and therefore guarantees all appropriate safety standards are met
- All pilots are experienced and fully licensed, having logged hundreds of hours flying passengers in hot air balloons
- At least 2 adults are required for this activity to take place. Single participant may book this product, but booking is subject to availability
- A balloon flight cannot be delayed due to the late arrival of participants. Meteorological reasons like heat and thermals building up in the early morning hours may affect the balloon upon its take-off and landing time
- Participants will not be allowed to consume alcoholic beverages or other substances forbidden by Thai law before or during the services. As a consequence, immediate action will be taken and no refund will be given
- Passengers must pay full attention to the safety briefing given by the pilot in command before the balloon launch. Ask questions if the briefing is not intelligible or clear
- The launch-pad at Ban Chomna Resort may need to be changed due to various factors, such as winds, etc., as instructed by local air flight authorities
- Pregnant women are not permitted to fly
